The Manzer Partazer team

Manzer Partazer is a project based on the goodwill of people. We are a dedicated and motivated team; from the coordinators to the web and graphic designers, the lawyers, our volunteers from the University of Technology of Mauritius, and, of course, the different sponsors and partners, we are all working on a voluntary basis.

The Founders

Davide and Julia first met at the SAVE FOOD – World Conference at Düsseldorf, Germany, in May 2014. In December 2014 they founded Manzer Partazer in Mauritius sharing the same vision of a food waste reduction project to make this beautiful island more sustainable.

Julia VennCo-founder and Madagascar Coordinator
Julia started to engage herself voluntary when she was at University within the German association ‘Foodsharing e.V.’ which tackles food waste by sharing it between households or saving it directly from retailers by placing it in public food distributors.

She came to Mauritius with the plan to make use of her experience for adapting it to the Mauritian context. She is now in charge of the coordination of Manzer Partazer with a main focus on the data collection and food sharing activities.
